This is a patch release because of Spring Boot 1.5.14.RELEASE, which fixes several important security issues.

As for JHipster 5.0.0.beta.3 that was released yesterday, this new Spring Boot release triggered a very annoying bug with Ehcache, and the correction from JHipster 5 was backported here to JHipster 4.

You can find more information on ticket #7783.
